Feeling a Little On Guard, 2000

In the Spring of 2000, Flatbush resident Patrick Dorismond, an unarmed Haitian American, was shot and killed by police. That same year, over 400 protestors were wrongfully arrested at the Republican National Convention that led to the election of George W. Bush. This is a series of collages responding to this time made with found and researched images, hand carved rubber stamps, pencil, paint and digital manipulation.
